Postscript to Stair Auction Bids 8/9 May

Well another auction bidding bust. We're not really unhappy though, because we didn't want to go as high as what they sold for.

These 70" high rock crystal obelisks were estimated at $1,000 to $2,000 and sold for $2,200.

This Chinese Buddha is 34" tall and was estimated at $700 to $1,000. We bid quite a bit higher than the top of the range, but it ultimately sold for $4,250! Well above what we would have paid.

My motto always applies - there's always another auction and, besides, the hunt is fun! And we do 'win' sometimes.
