Since some of my recent blogs have been on decorating with mirrors and lighting, and buying patio decoration at auction, I thought I'd use those as examples from the Doyle show.
Georgian style brass hall lantern Est. $500 - $700
A lantern like this goes with almost any style and need not be limited to a hall. It would look great in a library or media room.
The mirror on the left is gilt wood and estimate at $400 - $600. It would dress up any room, and would look particularly good in a powder room, in my view. The neoclassical pair of mirrors on the right are estimated at $1,000 - $1,500. A pair of mirrors can be a real find because they also can look great flanking a piece of furniture, like a sofa, with a painting or other decoration in between.
With Summer coming there were several patio options. Most don't show in the photos very well, but are a very reasonably priced option compared to retail.
These painted metal tables are estimated at $200 - $300, and there are similar chairs for which the hadn't yet posted a photo that were estimated at $200 - $400.
These ceramic garden stools would look great inside or out as side tables. They are estimated at $100 - $150, and a bargain.
Finally, just to post something funny, maybe you 'need' a dinosaur for a decoration some where! This is from the collection of the decorator Jamie Drake.
This dinosaur is estimate at $150 - $250.
There may be some bargains to be had at this auction, depending on what you may be looking for to decorate your home.
